House Money

About

A publication written from the numbers.

House Money reports on crypto casinos the way a markets desk reports on markets: what moved, by how much, compared with what. Deposit volume, market share, hot-wallet balances, sportsbook margins and streaming hours, each with a date on it and a link to the source.

How articles are generated

  1. 1

    The data lands

circus.fyi indexes inbound and outbound transfers on casino hot wallets across twelve chains, snapshots hot-wallet balances hourly, records sportsbook prices from more than sixty books and tracks gambling streams on Kick and Twitch. House Money reads a curated, read-only copy of those datasets.

  2. 2

    Detectors look for a change

Once a day, after the rollups land, a set of rules checks the numbers: a casino whose weekly deposits moved by 30% or more, a record deposit day, a single transfer above $2M, a hot-wallet balance that fell by a quarter and stayed there, a sportsbook whose margin shifted half a point. No change, no story.

  3. 3

    Facts first, then prose

The figures, tables and chart data are computed in code. A language model writes the surrounding prose and may only reference numbers present in that facts object; the draft is rejected if any figure in the text is not in the data. Drafts are reviewed before publication.

  4. 4

    Every number links home

Each figure links, on first mention, to the specific circus.fyi page it came from, and every article states its data cut time and methodology.

The relationship with circus.fyi

House Money is published by the team behind circus.fyi, the iGaming intelligence platform whose indexed on-chain, sportsbook and streaming data powers every article here. Circus is a set of live dashboards; House Money is the written record of what those dashboards showed on a given day.

The two sites link to each other because the data genuinely comes from there. House Money is not an affiliate: it carries no casino referral links, bonus codes or sign-up offers, and is not paid by any operator for coverage.

Methodology and definitions

Deposit volume
The USD value, at the time of transfer, of inbound transfers to a casino’s tracked hot wallets. Deposits are not revenue.
Distinct depositing addresses
The number of unique sending addresses in a window. One person can use many addresses, so this is not a player count.
Market share
A casino’s deposit volume divided by the total across all tracked casinos of the same type in the same window.
Hot-wallet balance
The USD value held in a casino’s payout wallets at a snapshot. It is not total reserves and says nothing about solvency.
Sportsbook edge
The margin built into a book’s prices: at even odds, the share of every $100 wagered the book keeps on average. Lower is better for the bettor.
Data cut
Figures refresh continuously on circus.fyi. Each article states the time its data was taken and treats the newest fully indexed UTC day as its latest day.
